They are, they aren't, oh they are.....err, are they? That's how it goes on in Bollywood as far as relationship statuses are concerned. Oh, we mean, good friendships. Take for instance, Ranbir and Katrina - some say they are together, some say they were, while many have said the cute couple are yet to commit to each other. 

 

Now, another twosome of Bollywood Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor - seem to have taken the same route. If the latest gossip in a tabloid is to be believed, Arjun has grown fond of his co-star and good friend Alia. The two have also been cosying up to each other during flights, and at restaurants and parties. At a recent award show’s party, the two didn't bother what they call 'zamaana kya kahega', and entered the venue together, very much like a couple. But then, Alia, in all her interviews, claims to be single, and so does Arjun. We know what they will say next, 'We're just good friends, we got friendly on the sets of our film 2 States....now, we've stopped reacting to rumours of a link-up....'

Deepika Padukone 'heartbroken' as Ranveer Singh misses award nominations?

Any doubts about the warm friendship shared between Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are dispelled when one realizes how protective she is of his right to win awards during this awards season. Going by the early trends it looks like Deepika Padukone is all set to sweep all the popular awards. But the actress is not ecstatic about her triumph. Why?  That's because her Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela co-star and her real-life good friend (wink wink) Ranveer Singh is not likely to win any of the awards.

Deeepika, who feels Ranveer was as good as her in Ram Leela, is disappointed on her co-star’s behalf. Says a source, “Deepika thinks Ranveer deserves awards for Ram Leela. However she cannot come out and say this out loud as she is too politically correct in her proclamations to risk offending the other actors in the Best Actor nominations.”

Apparently, the actress was heartbroken when Ranveer was not even nominated for the Best Actor category in the Screen awards. “Deepika called up a friend to say she felt awful about Ranveer’s exclusion as she felt he was not just as good as her in Ram Leela, but even better than her,” says the source. Sadly, the chances of Ranveer winning any award for Best Actor seem dim, considering the competition. “But what better award than to have your co-star (read good friend) believe so strongly in your performance?” says the source. Ranveer-Deepika now as Husband and Wife

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will now be playing husband and wife in Homi Adajania's English/Konkani film, 'Finding Fanny Fernandes'. The film also stars Arjun Kapoor.

A source close to the film told TOI, "Ranveer has shot with Arjun, but most of his scenes are with Deepika. Their crackling chemistry has to be seen to be believed. He was in Goa for just three days and the trio spent a lot of time shopping and sightseeing."

Roping in Ranveer as Deepika's husband was Homi's brainwave. And the unit of the film was really excited when he revealed the twosome he had in mind to play the reel life couple. The duo, as reported by TOI, brought in the New Year together in New York and though they have denied a relationship,buzz suggests otherwise. Dinesh Vijan, who is producing the film, chose not to respond to our calls and text messages.
